Our volunteers
We’re proud to work alongside dedicated police officers throughout the DMV who give their time, energy, and heart to supporting local families and strengthening the communities they serve. We love welcoming new volunteers. Contact us if you are interested.
Our history
Iron Star Foundation was created to bring people together, strengthen neighborhoods, and build positive relationships between community members and the police officers who serve them. At its heart, the foundation is about supporting children and families, creating opportunities for meaningful connections, and helping communities thrive.
Through youth programs, mentoring, food assistance, and community outreach, Iron Star Foundation brings neighbors together, supports families, and creates positive experiences that build trust and a stronger sense of community. The foundation has grown quickly, expanding its programs and partnerships across Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
As Iron Star continues to grow, its focus remains on showing up for local communities, meeting real needs, and creating opportunities for children and families to feel supported, connected, and valued.
Our mission
Iron Star Foundation supports and enriches the lives of children and families across Maryland, DC, and Virginia through fun youth programs, mentoring, food assistance, and community events that build positive relationships with local police.
